Training & Workshops
An Optimization Technique:
Department of Mechanical Engineering organised
one day workshop on Taguchi technique for final and pre-final year students. Dr.
T. U. Siddiqui Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, MJPRU
Bareilly was the speaker of the workshop. The Workshop focussed on the
MINITAB-17 software and its usage. Dr.
Siddiqui discussed that in the era of rapid industrialization it becomes very
important to optimize process parameters. A number of such techniques are
available but the method developed by Genichi Taguchi is still one of the most
promising method being applied in industry and research. Dr. Siddiqui detailed Multi
Response DOE using L9 and L27 orthogonal array and its ANOVA calculations.
Department of Mechanical Engineering
hosted a one day long workshop in association with CADD Centre Bareilly. Mr.
Ambrish Goyal and Mrs. Anupriya Goyal conducted two sessions of four hours
each. The first session was based on the parametric feature based geometric
modelling on 2D and 3D platforms using basic commands like fillet, chamfer,
radius etc. The second session focussed on the design assembly. The students of
final and pre-final year participated in the workhop whole-heartedly.
Department of Computer Science &
Engineering hosted one day workshop in association with Jetking Bareilly. The
workshop focussed on the networking aspects like gateways, routers, switches,
hubs, proxy servers, firewalls, etc. The roles of Network Administrator,
Network System Engineer, Network Service Engineer, and Network Analyst, etc. were
discussed in detail.
Department of Computer Science &
Engineering conducted a workshop on Sci Lab Tool in association with
IIT BOMBAY which was powered by Ministry of HRD, New Delhi. Mr. Sachin
Saxena administrated the workshop. Sci Lab is the most preferred alternative of
MATLAB. It is a numerical oriented programming language which can be handled in
an open platform as well. Signal Processing Statistical Analysis, Image
Enhancement, Fluid Dynamics Simulations are few important features of Sci Lab.
Department of Information Technology
organised a workshop on virtual server technique. Mr. Ayush Agarwal,
spokesperson of this workshop, detailed the technique for web hosting using
virtual servers which is a cost effective method and thus gaining popularity
these days. In spite of having individual server for each system it is possible
to have dozens of virtual servers co-residing on the same computer without effecting
the performance of each website. In this case individual websites behaves as if
those are run by a dedicated server.
Department of Electronics and Communication organised a workshop on MATLAB. Mr.
Saurabh Srivastava discussed a practical hands-on with the students of final
year. Mr. Srivastava focussed on this fourth-generation programming language
and detailed the numerical computations using basic tool box, also, he demonstrated
the method for solving matrix, using functions, structures and plotting of 3D
Frequency Spread System:
Mr. Chandan Kumar
detailed about the simulation behaviour of structures working on high
frequencies e.g. Antennas. A Microstrip Antenna Structure was simulated during
the workshop and different parameters like VSWR, S-parameters, gain and
radiation patterns, etc. were found out. Various industries have involved this
technique as prime investigating tool for finding out interference of
frequencies and intensities etc.
Department of Business
Administration hosted five days’ workshop on Microsoft MS Office package. Mr Ashwani Kumar, the spokesperson, detailed the
working methodology of MS Word, Ms Excel, MS Power Point, etc. to the students
of MBA programme. Students as well as faculty members participated in this
Department of Business Administration invited Dr. Parikshit Joshi from IFTM,
Moradabad to deliver an expert lecture cum demonstration on SPSS. This package
is widely used by researchers, educationalists and research scholars. Dr. Joshi
conducted two days practical training for the second year students of MBA programme.
He detailed the Basic Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), t-test, correlation, and
linear regression. This statistical package is most widely adopted in various
